A few months ago, I hit Big Lots and bought a bunch of coveted Colorama polishes. I'm finally getting around to trying most of them, and, boy, am I sorry I waited! This is Plum Sparkle. It's a beautiful fuschia pink with very, very fine silver and HOLOGRAPHIC glitter! The scattered holo is barely visible in normal indoor light, but under a lamp or outside? Wow! The camera just could not pick up the beauty of this polish. I'm still trying to figure out the best settings and am still coming up short. Any tips??
I think the color is very similar to OPI DS Signature, especially this picture taken by Amy, The Polished Perfectionist (who, btw, has beeyoutiful nails).

Can't Pinch Me Today!
It's St. Patrick's Day, and you know what that means! Green polish! This is Sinful Colors Green Ocean over 2 coats of Rimmel Forest.
The camera didn't capture the true sparkle of Green Ocean. This is SHINY; there are a LOT of silver and blue flakies and glitter that are somewhat duochromatic. I also keep thinking I have holes in my mani because of the way the silver catches (or doesn't catch) the light as I move my fingers around. Here's a partly blurry picture to show you what I mean and to show the blue a little better:
I forgot to mention that this particular flaky does not apply perfectly smoothly. Some of the flakes are huge and don't lie flat. A coat of SV fixed that (mostly) right up, however.
Hope you guys have a great, safe St. Patrick's Day!

Essence Multi Dimension 3 in 1 Polish with XXXL Shine - Groovy!
This is an Essence polish I got in the grab bag I bought from Scandalously Polished. Groovy is a pretty teal cream that went on very easily. This is two coats with topped with SV. Clean up was easy as long as it didn't involve any cuticle. Fortunately, it looks ok from far away. ;)
The dark pattern on my nails in the second picture is shadow of our screen door. Oops!
I got *so* many compliments on this color today at work, and rightfully so. It's really beautiful.

Rimmel - I ♥ Lasting Finish Forest and Colorama Blazes of Crystal
Scandalously Polished had a blog sale last week, and I purchased what she called a "Mystery Grab Bag" containing 11 international polishes. For less than $18, including shipping, I couldn't say no! One of the included polishes was Rimmel's I ♥ Lasting Finish in Forest. It's a deeper kelly green that is going to be perfect for St. Patrick's Day! I added a coat of Maybelline Colorama Blaze of Crystal, which is a rainbowy flakie. Please excuse the horrid cuticles and short nails - I'm trying to fix the peelies and have filed them down.

Sticking my toes in the water
Welcome to the first entry of my nail polish blog! After much cajoling by Miss Erin of Persistently Polished, I've finally set this thing up. Blame her if it's a bust. ;)
I'm in the process of trying to improve the condition of my nails, as all the dry air and hand washing I do has reduced them to a peeling, splitting mess. It's day three of using Nailtiques Formula 2, and so far, so good. I don't want to subject them to any more trauma for the moment, though, so I won't have any swatches for a few more days.
Thanks for stopping by!
